Cotton Building

  • Built in the 1890s on the former site of the Oxford Hotel.
  • In the 1920s and 1930s, it was used by the Oxford Fire Department as the “fire hall,”
  • From the 1920s-1952 it was Oxford’s city hall.
  • In 1979, Oscar Cotton, a local pastor, veteran, and businessman, purchased the building where it became Cotton Furniture.
  • The building now houses Cotton Antiques.
