In 2020, the Main Street Board and Promotion Committee rebranded the former “Downtown after Sundown” and “Main Street Market” events into a single, refreshed experience: Market on Main. Held at Simmons Park in Historic Downtown Oxford, the location is especially fitting—this site served as a trading post for more than a century. Today, the Spring Market on Main continues that tradition as a vibrant artisan and craft vendor market that celebrates local creativity and community spirit.

Get into the spirit of the season with a whimsical stroll or ride through Historic Downtown Oxford—costumed as your favorite witch, warlock, or goblin! Participants are encouraged to bring candy to share with onlookers along the route. Everyone is welcome to join the fun, including men and children. Whether walking or riding a bicycle, it’s a magical evening for all—please note that motorized vehicles are not permitted.

Christmas on Main is our annual holiday open house in Historic Downtown Oxford, filled with seasonal cheer and community spirit. The day features festive sales and promotions from downtown merchants, enchanting horse and carriage rides, live entertainment, holiday movies at Simmons Park, and a joyful Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony to close out the evening.
