J&P BOUTIQUE OPENS OXFORD LOCATION

J&P Boutique, offering children’s clothing items, opened its new Oxford location at 1330 Barry Street, Suite A, on Friday, May 2, 2025.

Owner/operator Hayleigh Mellem said the idea came when she was having trouble finding matching outfits for her young daughter and son.

“When I had my daughter, I found there are tons of cute girls’ clothes in her size,” Mellem said. “When I had him a few years later, I wanted things to match, and that was hard to find.”

Mellem said after doing some research, she discovered a supplier  from which to order those hard-to-find items, “and it just went from there.”

“We are thankful you chose to open a business in Oxford,” said Mayor Alton Craft. “If there is anything we can do for you, the city staff and I are ready to help.”

Mellem said the boutique is ready for Mother’s Day with a supply of dresses,

 bubbles, sets, and rompers.

Open Thursdays and Fridays: 
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
